Gypsy is a one of a kind friend and companion. She is sweet, sensitive, loving, intelligent and obedient, while at the same time being independent and stubborn. How can a dog be all of these things at once? Well, you’d have to know our Gypsy.

Gypsy won our hearts from the first day. She was such an adorable puppy, and now as a grown-up she is quite beautiful. Looking into her eyes is like looking into the eyes of a sensitive and intelligent person. She knows in an instant if her people are feeling playful or blue, and she responds appropriately. She loves to play catch with a Frisbee or small fluffy football, and she adores big floppy toys. The bigger and floppier, the better. Among her favorites are various sizes of octopi and a long legged zebra. And if she doesn’t have your full attention (if for example, you are trying to relax and watch a little television), then she has been known to jump up on the couch beside you and smash said toy against the side of your head until it squeaks loudly in your ear. That usually results in a rousing game of toss and fetch, until she is worn out. On the other hand, if one of us is feeling blue, she sits close and quietly gazes at us with those soulful brown eyes radiating love and compassion.

Gypsy is unbelievably intelligent. Although we’ve only taught her basic commands, she nailed them in no time. And if you go to the fridge for a piece of cheese, look out… its trick time. “Look at me! I’m sitting! Look at me! I’m lying down! That didn’t work? Okay, I’m sitting again! Aren’t I beautiful and smart?” The hardest command for Gypsy was to sit and stay... not because she didn’t get it, but because it was so difficult for her to sit in place while you walked away from her. You see, she is always at our sides because she doesn’t want to miss a thing. What a wonderful friend and companion.
